No Advertising Please - Just Give Us Content

At realtorplus we have a 'No Advertisements' and a 'Visitor Transparency' policy. So what exactly does that mean?

No Advertisements Policy basically means :

• No Banner Ads
• No Pop-Up Ads
• No Pop-Under Ads
• No Google Ads
• No Donations

Visitor Transparency Policy means : We believe that you should know how we make money when you use realtorplus. Currently 100% of our revenue comes from Affiliate Programs. We earn revenue when you buy something from one of our affiliate retailers through the links in our Home Shop or from the Shop Links.

 

Here's the bones ...

Realtorplus is only a very small business - yeah, it's a shocker! Most people think we are a large company with a turnover in the millions (we wish). However the truth is we are just a team of two. To make the website work takes a huge amount of time and effort and like any business we need to make enough cash to keep realtorplus running and put bread on the table.

We think it's only fair that you know how we make a living (or not as is the case at present).

For starters simply clicking on one of our ads makes not the slightest difference to our bank balance. We operate on a 'Commission on Sales' system, so our advertisers only have to pay us when they get a sale. We think this is fair and it prevents us from having to worry about fraudulent Click-Through's from spammers and automated robots. It also means we keep our reputation in tack.

So the areas "Web Links & Useful Information" at the top of each page contain some URL's from Affiliate Based Merchants. The "Shop Links" situated on the right-hand side of each page also contain URL's from Affiliate Based Merchants. Simply clicking on these does not earn us money. We work on a FAIR basis with our retailing partners and we simply earn commissions on any purchases you may make.

 

Why do we have a 'No Advertisement' and 'Visitor Transparency' Policy?

We've learned a lot from our visitors and if there is one thing you guys don't like, it's advertisements. We don't blame you. There is nothing worse than having some flashy graphic dancing away when you are trying to read content. Don't even get us started on Pop-Ups and Pop-Under's. That's akin to having someone walk in your house without being invited.

We've all seen Text Ads and their like - many website now carefully integrate these links within the content text. This is generally done as the websites are paid for each time an advertisement is clicked. We don't! Our Text Ads "Shop Links" are clearly headed and placed in the right-hand column that is separated from the content - we never conceal text ads within our content because this would only annoy you and simply clicking an Ad doesn't produce any financial benefits for us.

Our Text Ads are built in-house. We do not use a 3rd Party Advertising System such as Google Adwords. Because we have our own Text Ads system we are able to pick and choose which companies are featured. It allows us to deliver Ads that are specifically relevant to the content. In some cases you may not see any Text Ads at all. We do not stuff a page full of Ads using the "Just in Case" method.

Please note that we do not accept donations in order to keep realtorplus running. We have had a few people ask us and while we really do appreciate the offer, we feel that we should earn our keep.

 

Home Shop

In order for us to earn a little cash, that keeps realtorplus operational and puts bread on the table, we have a 'Home Shop' We've created a Category Based Shopping Centre with over 430 retailers. There is a 'Button' within the Right Hand column that leads to the shopping section. Again, the image is non-intrusive - it does not try to sell you something directly - it is simply a link to a section, in our website, that allows you to shop and support realtorplus if you indeed need to do some online shopping.

Please support us... If you do have the need to do some online shopping please consider using our Home Shop. We have over 430 retailers listed with most of the biggest high-street brands. We also have a Special Offers section where we route out those retailer giving outstanding discounts - this is a great way to save those pennies and pounds.
